Apple Disease Information - Intro.

Several people have asked for the list of apples, with my assessment of their resistance to black spot and mildew.

It needs to be stated that different properties have various levels of infection. This last assessment was done in a very bad season for infection.
Lifestyle blocks, isolated from outside infection will possible be a lot less severe. If you are in the middle of a main apple growing area, infection could be more severe.

Where this assessment was done the apples have never been sprayed - at all.
Most trees will be at least 10 years old.
Cultivars in red have generally shown good resistance.

Resistance is not immunity. Even resistant cultivars can get some infection...
