Information Request: Datura

hello how are you going I would like to no where Datura is grown in the south island

Thank you for your question about Datura.

First, a strong warning. Datura is a dangerous plant. Parts of it are extremely poisonous.

Datura seems to grow almost anywhere in New Zealand that trees and shrubs grow well.

Datura has large beautiful flowers. It could be unwise to let it grow where there are children or pets.

It is not considered to be a useful tree crop.
