New Zealand Tree Crops Association

Jessica Ward

It has been a year of change for T.C.A. with membership and Journal subs being separated, and we must do all in our power to ensure that members wish to retain their T.C.A. membership. Branch contact and activities must be increased to maintain interest because now we can't rely on members who are only interested in the Journal. Branches must create interesting programmes/activities to ensure that all their members feel they need to stay.

I'm pleased to report most South Island Branches are active, except for the West Coast which is struggling since the death of Stan Eaton.

I apologise for not visiting many Branches as I would have liked, but family circumstances have changed since my election and it is not easy for me to get away.

I have represented the South Island to the best of my ability on all management Committee decisions.

Jessica Ward.
