Master of Ceremonies John Steel
After-dinner Speaker Dougal Stevenson
Sponsored by Allenton's Nurseries

President elect Diana Loader presented the Best Newsletter award to Coastal Otago newsletter editor, Jim Dunckley.
Immediate Past President Ray Hollis negotiated with previous 'Dr Don McKenzie Award' winner Gail Newcomb, first female to achieve the award, for the surrender of the real trophy from the apparently retentive inclinations of certain point-scoring female membership...
At last, all in good fun...
Jim Dunckley received his well-deserved 'Dr Don McKenzie Award' trophy - to tremendous acclaim.
What does ex TV presenter Dougal Stevenson know about the Tree Cropping life? -
More than any tree cropper should ever want to experience...!
Dougal enthralled us with a hilarious account of his trials and tribulations...
... that was very close to home for many of those present.
MC John Steel conducted a very brisk tree seedling auction - featuring a most enduring and humorous 'white currant' pitch - for the benefit of the host branch's coffers!

CONFERENCE ENDS
These two views of Jim Dunckley's apple display represent much of over 30 years ongoing work on this crop.
