They have planted Eucalyptus sp so they have a year round flowering and are able to select coppicing trees and timber trees. They have some young totara future timber blocks with some Kanuka interspersed. They also have some young Kauri Rewarewa. Additionally they have planted extensively for native reveg/riparian.
Also, they have planted 50 mixed Oaks as part of a future pig grazing block.
They have aimed last winter to plant so they could in 80 years replace/build another house with the same timbers we used;-
with more alders and more.
They have planted an arboreteum, mostly gums/Oaks/sugar maples /alders and Himalayan Cedar
They have a beekeeper 10 hives so are trying to broaden/fill out their year. They have a very good late flush of white flowering rata. And probably all up 2000-3000 trees.
