Storm Warning: property has a steep driveway and paddock parking; postponed until 23 March; was stormy 16 march.
Baerbel and Irmgard bought this 92 ha property, with a valley in the centre,
surrounded by bush clad hills, 20 years ago. After building a long possum-fence, most of the fruit trees were planted. Now they have a wide variety of temperate and subtropical fruit and nut trees, grown organically. They aim to be as self-sufficient as possible. Their house is an adobe building with alternative power.
After so many years several problems with pests and diseases have developed. We want to put our brains together to identify them and hopefully find a remedy, without chemicals.
There will be a big solar dryer and a fruit press on display.
Some red pineapple plants will be available for a donation to the branch.
Bring leather gloves and a sturdy bag as they are very thorny.

There will be some of Baerbel’s honey for sale. Bring a jar if you can.
